How long can you keep opened vacuum packed coffee?  How long does vacuum packed GROUND coffee last?  How long will vacuum packed coffee BEANS last? 

To take the guess work out of it for you, I've done a bit of research and have come up with a few suggestions for you, below are the results.  Feel free to add your own 'best practises' by add a comment at the end of this article.

 

Ok, if you've opened the pack your coffee will last in the ...

PANTRY:  one - two weeks

Freezer:  one month

 

After this time the coffee quality will of course to deteriorate, but will probably still be safe to drink.  

 

Coffee bean's two greatest enemies are air and moisture. Ideally, coffee should be ground, brewed, and consumed quickly to obtain the best flavor.  Coffee beans are at their peak within 24 to 72 hours after roasting and begin to quickly stale after that (within a week, most of the original flavor will have deteriorated). It is best to buy

— one with a minimal amount of suspended particulates — is to start with a consistent and uniform grind of coffee. 

Use medium grind. You can change to a coarser grind if you find the coffee too cloudy.

Always steam the milk before making the espresso.

A cup of cappuccino should be about 150ml, containing one espresso coffee and equal parts of steamed milk and froth.

1.Fill 1/3 of a metal steaming pitcher with cold milk.

For the best flavour use whole milk.

As the name suggests, an espresso is a cup of coffee prepared on the spot to be enjoyed immediately.  A cup of espresso should not

1. Fill your machine’s water reservoir with cold clear water. Bottled water is recommended if your tap water is very hard.

2. For each cup of espresso, measure one heaping tablespoon (7 grams) of ground coffee. If you're grinding your own beans, use a high-quality burr grinder on the fine-grind setting. It may take some experimentation to find the optimal setting for your grinder.
